Apple Bircher

❄️ Store in the fridge for a couple of days

Ingredients:

  • 1 grated red apple (peeled)

  • 50g porridge oats

  • 100ml milk of choice

  • 100g Greek yogurt (or dairy free Greek yogurt)

  • 1 tsp chia seeds/ flax seeds

  • OPTIONAL 1/2 - 1 tbsp agave/ maple syrup/ honey*

  • OPTIONAL 1 tsp vanilla extract

*NOTE: avoid honey for babies under 1 year old

IDEAS FOR WHAT YOU CAN ADD:

  • 1 tsp peanut butter, or any nut butter

  • Handful of raisins (chopped for baby under 8 months)

  • 1 or 1/2 ripe mashed banana

  • Grated carrot

  • Pinch of cinnamon 

Method:

  1. Place the grated apple in a bowl and add the oats, milk, Greek yogurt and the chia seeds.

  2. Stir together well.

  3. Cover and place the bowl in a the fridge overnight.

  4. (In the morning) Top with your favourite fruits and toppings.

  5. Serve!
